Biography
Serge Krimnus is an intellectual property attorney with experience as a former software engineer that brings substantial technical knowledge to his practice.
Serge focuses on preparing and prosecuting patent applications and litigating patents within a variety of technologies. In addition, he counsels clients on issues related to selection, registration and protection of trademarks. He has represented clients in U.S. district court in patent, copyright, trade secrets, and trademark infringement cases, prosecuted patent and trademark applications, and in domain name arbitrations. He has also represented clients in inter partes review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Serge received his J.D. in 2010 from Brooklyn Law School, his M.B.A. with Distinction in 2006 from NY Institute of Technology and his BS in Computer Science in 2003 from Stony Brook University. He was selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Intellectual Property from 2014 to 2021 and a Super Lawyer in Intellectual Property in 2022. He is Adjunct Professor of Law and Adjunct Professor of Clinical Law at Brooklyn Law School, teaching Patent Prosecution and supervising law students at the Brooklyn Law Incubator and Policy Clinic. He is also an arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and has guest lectured at New York University on design patent law and presided over multiple multi-million dollar cases.
