Edward Andrew Paltzik earned a J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2006, where he won the Scholastic Excellence Award. He earned a B.A. from Cornell University College of Arts and Sciences in 2003, where he was a history major and graduated with Distinction in All Subjects. Mr. Paltzik has represented hundreds of civil and criminal clients in a wide variety of high-stakes matters, in both State and Federal courts. He is well-known for his aggressive-yet-analytical approach to litigation, loyalty to his clients, and passion for causes that matter to him.
Mr. Paltzik focuses his practice on 1st and 2nd Amendment Litigation seeking to safeguard these fundamental rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution, numerous other forms of constitutional and administrative litigation at both the State and Federal levels, White-Collar Criminal Defense and White-Collar Investigations, Complex Commercial Litigation, Defamation Litigation, and Employment Litigation. He has also authored numerous important amicus briefs in high-profile constitutional cases, including an unusually complex brief in support of the victorious petitioners in the landmark 2022 Supreme Court case New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc. v. Bruen–a brief that Justice Alito cited in his concurrence.
Mr. Paltzik has successfully tried numerous cases, including serving as the lead trial attorney in the prominent and widely reported “Buck Foston’s” First Amendment litigation in the District of New Jersey against the City of New Brunswick and its officials that resulted in a $1.535M jury verdict in favor of his clients. He has also secured many millions of dollars in settlements for a wide variety of civil clients in both the pre-litigation and litigation stages.
After serving as a Partner at Joshpe Mooney Paltzik LLP in New York City for 11 years, he is currently a Of Counsel at Bochner PLLC. First admitted to practice law in 2007, Mr. Paltzik brings over 17 years of experience to his work, and is admitted to practice law in New York; New Jersey; Texas; the Supreme Court of the United States; the United States Courts of Appeals for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 9th, D.C., & Federal Circuits; and the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, Northern, and Western Districts of New York, the District of New Jersey, the District of Columbia, the District of Maryland, and the District of Colorado.
His work has been reported by major news sources on numerous occasions, including Bloomberg Law, the New York Law Journal, the New York Post, and News 12 Long Island.
