Lauren Orebaugh is a seasoned intellectual property and corporate attorney with a focus on advising clients on trademark and other intellectual property matters.  Lauren’s practice focuses on intellectual property and commercial transactions for small to medium size businesses, with a special emphasis on entrepreneurs and all-around creative types, as well as helping employers make smarter workforce decisions. Lauren’s experience includes intellectual property, trademarks, employment, corporation transactions, privacy, and corporate governance.

Lauren studied law at Stetson University College of Law and began her legal career after running her own business for several years.  She has an affinity for the challenges posed to small business owners. She enjoys helping clients get from Point A to Point B and helping them proactively protect themselves from adverse circumstances. Her legal career began with handling employment but over time evolved to protecting intellectual property assets and crafting meticulous contracts to preserve her client’s interests and the client’s relationship with its customers. She also has an in-depth understanding of privacy laws across the United States and is committed to expanding that expertise as privacy laws rapidly change across the country. 

Though Lauren’s practice specializes in technology and software related industries, Lauren has assisted a broad spectrum of clients, from authors and artists to medical technology providers and manufacturers, with drafting and negotiating contracts for various types of transactions and drafting terms of use, privacy policies, and employment related agreements, in addition to helping clients take necessary steps to protect and enforce intellectual property rights.
