Taylor Cassidy joins the Bochner team with a determination to help her clients navigate the complex world of intellectual property, business formation and protection, and contract review and drafting. Additionally, she handles trademark applications and provides legal advice on their usage, protection and enforcement. Her goal is to become an asset and resource to her clients and collaborate with them to solve their everyday legal needs. Prior to joining Bochner, Taylor was part of the Stanton IP Law team.
A native of West Virginia, Taylor grew up in a family of working-class, business owners, entrepreneurs and creators. She was raised with a deep understanding and belief that hard work, creative thought and committed collaboration is a recipe for any successful endeavor.
Taylor attended Bethany College and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English with a specialty in creative writing. She was a competitor on Bethany College’s volleyball team and graduated as a member of the senior class with the most recorded wins in school history. She also still holds the school record for most single season kills (Go Bison!). In the off-season, she spent her free time working in Bethany’s Sports Information Department as a statistician and article writer. She was also the Chief Editor of the student literary magazine, The Harbinger, and is an alumni member of Phi Mu Fraternity.
Upon graduating, Taylor attended Stetson University College of Law and received her Juris Doctorate degree in May of 2017. During her time at Stetson, she served as the President of the Intellectual Property Law Society and worked as a law clerk at the Law Office of Leighton J. Hyde which specializes in real property law and serves as a general counsel for several small businesses. She also spent time volunteering with Stetson’s Veteran Law Institute. After passing the Florida Bar, Taylor worked as an Associate Attorney at eXL Legal, PLLC where she gained experience representing creditor’s rights in mortgage foreclosures, eminent domain takings, general commercial litigation, compliance and contracts. She handled over 200 cases and assisted eXL in becoming one of the highest rated Creditor’s Rights firms in the state of Florida.
In her free time, Taylor enjoys traveling, attending live music events, reading and spending time with her husband and four cats.
